Science Intellect
Understanding Visual Identity and Branding. Professional design decision-making for branding emanates from observation or reasoned professional judgments drawn from pertinent lifestyle and culture, as well as existing design conventions. Brands have become much more than logos/symbols that provide distinctive and enduring marks for companies or organisations. They can frequently have the role of characterising and drawing attention to events, exhibitions, shows or festivals and have very specific target audiences. Frequently branding reaches further, extending to environments and attitudes, with an impact upon each of the 5 senses. Innovative application can reach, across a broad range of media extending to varying contexts as well as influencing and influenced by lifestyle and culture. In the 21st century branding for many has become a crucial facet of their ‘sense of self’. Theme - 'Science' Science Intellect – We care about science education. Introduction: The whole idea and purpose around the theme I have chosen ‘Science’ is to educate more children, adults and families about Science and Space as we feel as a organisation that more science and space education is needed to be put into place. We as a company have come up with a idea proposal of a interactive futuristic scientist brain maze museum which you would explore through the brain maze using your knowledge and understanding you already know and participating in talks activities, tackling a number of tasks / puzzles correctly giving you parts along the way to unlock the next floor level (three levels in total) either the use of science words or equations for you to put together to complete a final puzzle to show you have unlocked your knowledge and understanding of Science and Space to exit the brain. Background: The museum’s exterior and interior is built in the shape of brain that contains three floors of educational science and space through a brain maze. Toilets will feature on each floor and lifts will feature. 1st Floor – would contain an introduction to the general basic science which is suitable for young children to start off with then the other floors / levels gradually getting harder e.g. Pre historic. 2nd Floor – You will explore more tasks that are gradually getting harder with the room divided into three sections of different sciences – Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Use your knowledge and equations to unlock the next level. 3rd Floor – The last floor of the building that contains the subject of Space and Astronomy, the floor would be glass, the ceiling if light would be covered and projection but if at night the roof will be see through for you to see the actual planets and stars themselves you have learnt along the way. Make sure you collect stamps from each floor you enter to be entered into a prize draw. A Museum of Events related to Science that is held everyday seven days a week. A variety of activities and tasks will be set throughout your time through the scientist’s brain maze. There will be signage guides along the way with staff around the building to assist and help. The activities that will be held are: First Floor: • A talk from a member of staff about the dangers and health and safety issues before entering the brain maze. • Educational video diagram and talk about the human the brain and an info graphic diagram of your science mission. • Find out answers and history how science existed and some of the famous scientists who created extraordinary inventions. • A video exploring science. • Talk from a Scientist who then guides you through. Second Floor: • Guide along the way through the subject Biology. • Talk about Chemistry and Physics. • Grab your white lab coat and goggles and learn about how to generate equations, circuits and create and experiment new potions. Third Floor: • The Space Department. • A talk and video about Space and Astronomy. • Will feature a talk from experienced scientists and astronauts about how to be trained to be an astronaut. • A projection educating about planets and other features in the solar system also history of the Big Bang and other theories e.g. Time Travel. • Parts being supplied to build a rocket / spaceship as a way of escape for your children to take away.
